I will say – this stuff lived up to the hype for me. It absorbed quickly without any stickiness. The texture is lightweight and it has a slight medicinal scent. It left my skin looking super glowy and radiant after each use. And with continued use, I noticed a definite improvement in my dark spots and fine lines. If you can splurge, this serum is 100% worth it for the anti-aging results.

If the SkinCeuticals serum is out of your budget, The Ordinary Vitamin C is an affordable alternative at just $6.80. However, with the lower price tag comes a very different experience. This serum contains a whopping 23% vitamin C which is an incredibly high concentration. The texture is a gritty, mousse-like consistency that pills up when you try to rub it in. It’s not the most elegant application.
I did find that it left my skin looking brighter and more even after regular use. But the gritty texture was unpleasant and it had a strong medicinal scent. It also caused some irritation on my sensitive skin. For the price though, it’s a decent option for vitamin C benefits without the hefty investment.

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Vitamin C Serum
Drunk Elephant C-Firma is a cult favorite vitamin C serum with lots of great reviews. It’s $80 for 1 oz so it falls around the middle of the price range. This serum uses 15% vitamin C along with vitamin E and ferulic acid. The texture feels nice – it’s a lightweight gel that absorbs quickly. I didn’t experience any irritation or sensitivity with this formula.
It made my skin look brighter and more even toned with continued use. I also noticed some improvement in fine lines around my eyes. It has a light citrus scent that I found pleasant. The only downside is that it oxidizes more quickly than some other serums, so the color will start to change after a few months. But overall a solid vitamin C serum.

The combo of ingredients is hydrating and soothing for my sensitive skin. The texture is a lightweight gel that absorbs quickly without irritation.
I found this serum did brighten and even out my skin tone with regular use. It also helped improve texture and smooth fine lines. For the incredibly affordable price, I was very impressed with the results from this vitamin C serum!

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum is a vitamin C and collagen booster that goes for $50 per oz. It has a lightweight, gel-cream texture that feels nice going on. There is a noticeable citrus/orange scent which I didn’t mind. This serum absorbed fairly quickly without any stickiness.
With continued use, I found it did brighten and even out my complexion. It also helped a bit with fine lines around my eyes. Overall, this is a decent vitamin C serum but I wasn’t totally blown away by the results for the price. I’ve found other serums provide similar brightening effects for less money.
